Can RESHARP actually work for you & YOUR knife?
See image here from the very front panel of their own machine describing what it can NOT DO for you!
Not very 'comforting' is it? Does YOUR particular knife qualify here? You certain of that?
Worse, here's what RESHARP still does NOT actually address based with their own admitted limitations on their own public image.
The 15! & growing 'check list' to see IF RESHARP is for you & YOUR knife:
- (01) ALL Serrated edged kitchen knives of any length from short to long.
- (02) ALL Scalloped edged kitchen knives of any length from short to long.
- (03) ALL Wavy edged kitchen knives of any length from short to long.
- (04) ALL Single side edged kitchen knives of any length from short to long.
- (05) ALL Ceramic edged kitchen knives of any length from short to long.
- (06) ALL pocket/hunting knives with serrations of any kind from short to long.
- (07) ALL knives shorter than 2.5" (paring, peeler, small pocket knives).
- (08) ALL knives longer than 12".
- (09) ALL Cleaver/Butcher knives taller than 3.5".
- (10) ALL knives shorter than 0.5" in height (many small pocket knife blades).
- (11) ALL knives with non-straight heels (round/fat/blunt).
- (12) ALL knives with bent and/or broken tips.
- (13) ALL knives with medium to big chips along the knife's edge.
- (14) ALL knives bent or slightly warped sideways along the blade's length.
- (15) Most ‘curved’ edged kitchen knives of any length. (Think Ulu, Cimeter, Bird’s Beak/Tourné, etc.)
You MUST answer 'No' to all these questions to 'qualify' YOUR knife for RESHARP's tender mercies.
Mind blowing, yes?
