A Brief Past History of GHS:

Opened in 1988 as “Sharp All Sharpening’ on the far north side of Houston (Spring area) with a handful of participating hardware stores.

Steady expansion for the next decade to include all the Houston area Lowe’s Home Improvement centers, JoAnn Fabric stores and most ACE Hardwares.

Sale of “Sharp All’ in 2002 to Jim Ward & retirement of James Pitchford.

Closure of “Sharp All’ in July 2006.

Creation of “Greater Houston Sharpening” in August 2006 by Douglas Pitchford with most of the remaining, previous locations at that time.

Today, we’re still a ‘weekly’ sharpening service via our 30+ Houston area locations.

On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, we’re picking up & delivering the prior week’s items back.

On Mondays, we are covering: Northwest and North Houston areas.

On Tuesdays, we are covering: Downtown, Southwest and West Houston areas.

On Wednesdays, we are covering: Northeast, East, Southeast Houston areas.
